Is there a good enough location to dive for it?
(Unlikely, however I Hadda ask....
Shoreline may havve moved, been filled, etc.)
Curious Tesla Reference:
In reading some Antique Detective Stories (details on
request) One was built around some submarine experiments,
ca 1910. Tesla's Diving Boat got a reference, by name.

That was a boat, not a submarine. Didn't dive. Look at the
patent drawing and you'll see what controls it really had. I have a
"Radicon" radio-controlled bus from the 1950's which is similar in principle.
Spark gap transmitter, coherer receiver, and sequential control
mechanism. Still works. There were a number of such toys built in
Japan at that time and they fetch high prices on eBay.
