Speaking of Synchronous motors, can anyone advise me on how to hookup a teletype motor? It has two black leads and two red ones as wellan additonal two black ones for a capacitor I believe. I also need tofind a good value for the starter capacitor. Any advise????

Describe the motor in more detail. I have several different TTYmachines with motors here [pretty well hidden away but reachable] andcould try to compare notes. Not all have capacitors but somedo. What does the nameplate say and what machine did it come from?
