Hi Phil,

Well, seems that way. I am lazy ( I don't always unplug everything, and 
I've paid for it at times). The RFI filter will dump some stuff, but not 
everything (there's still a lot of crap that will be seen on the mains 
thanks to those spark gaps). Our washer and dryer is old (no boards, no 
chips). It's funny, I was thinking about upgrading them with new 
variable speed types, but considering my lab is also where we do 
laundry, I think I'll just stick with these old trustworthy no frills 
appliances.

BTW, my wife got a laugh when I told her about your "situation". She's 
had her share of "me" doing things like that. She also made the mistake 
of collecting copper bowls for wall ornaments (funny how long it took 
here to realize they were missing ;-) ).
