Hi Matt,
Figured someone would ask.
I make things work the bright guys design and modify if necessary for the real world. Used to work at a university in the EE, Chemistry and Physics depts and had to translate their paper doodles into working designs. Was a lot of fun at times!

An aside, collect, restore and operate old radios, spring phonos, steam and gas engines and other such items as well.
Used to wind my own transformers and make my own ham gear from scratch too.
