I have a few old Luxtrol 2500W units.  They are taper wound.  The taper 
begins at ~50%, and is just a second winding to help handle the current. 
Connections must be as per the contact plate.  The variac also uses a geared 
lever, and is mounted perpindicular to the panel.  $60+shipping.



Anyone have a 15A or larger variac - 120V - for
