Well I have a I form 4 inch wide, 8 inch tall, and 8 inch deep.  I wanna use power levels around 220v 30~50amps.  Suitable?

Hey Garry...

If you wind the wire on a form that is approximately the same shape as 
the I section ( rectangular form for a rectagular I core), I see no 
problem with it not working.
