Hi DC,
I have 5hp 3p motor not in use. I assume this is wired like a static phase
converter. Say 100uf BTW L1+L3 and another 100uf L2+L3 (L3 is floating) -
370volt run capacitors. Will this do it?

Easy to do with a 5-10 HP 3 phase electric motor winding. You just shift
the phase on two of the three windings using capacitors.
