RE: [TCML] Audio Modulating a DRSSTC

Steve,

When we built our MKIIc modulator, we decided to limit the max frequency to about 2200hz (it has an overdrive setting adjustable from 500 ~ 2200hz) Even though the following video clip isn't anywhere near this frequency: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fg6B9XHvLU it is still absolutley screaming loud! For example, Dr. Spark's "Little Red" coil featured in the video can easily goes past his point. Many coils are unable to acheive this bbs rate for various reasons; you need to be carefull not to exceed your preset current input level. The higher the bbs, the higher the input current. The overdrive limiter was incorporated because we do have tendency to get carried away; after all; we're all a bunch of crazy coilers, and that's what we do!

Regards,
Hank
