I have some specially formulated with graphite and they work great. I've
used them on both Tesla and Van de Graaff toploads.

Its been years wince i was current in this area, but:
When i was, there were _specific_ formulations for
EMI/RFI/ESD work. They were 'high(ish) resistance', by
design... If someone has some working in HV work, fine,
but I'd expect sprayons to not work.
The originally proposed fan shrouds seem intriguing, tho..
