If you are using copper tubing for the primary, it is easy to splice in an extension. I cut the head off of a brass screw that just fits snuggly inside the copper tubing and give it a slight bend to try to match the radius of the primary tubing. I slip this inside each end of the tubes to be spliced and then, I just sweat solder the joint. It's a piece of cake. Good luck.

since you are maxed out on turn 8 w/ the best performance yet,
maybe if you add a couple of turns to your primary you would get
even better performance on say turn 9 (maybe). It's defiantly
worth a shot, worst case you would have a couple of more turns
to experiment w/ different top load sizes. Looking good so far.
