Tim,
On your web site you mention wanting to lower resonat frequency and a 
plan to wind another tertiary coil on a 3 inch form.  You can 
significantly lower your tertiary coil's resonant frequency by simply 
adding a small toroid to the top - much easier than completely winding a 
new coil.
