[TCML] conical T coils

Is it worth the extra effort to make & wind a conical T coil from a performance or durability  standpoint ??    Or, it just looks 'cool'  ?    I have limited room for a T coil and am downsizing,.thinking of  making an 'antique' looking coil with a 16"  solid discharge.      Ive made several coils through the years, since '90, and the last coil with a max of 7'  before it burned up  : (     , but no conical coils                        Thanks..                           		 	   		  _______________________________________________
