Correction,
I stated, "the large 56" diameter vs. the 40" diameter of the strike ring". What should have been stated is, "the 56" major diameter of the top load vs. the 40" diameter of the strike ring". Sorry for any confusion.

However, when I run it (necessarily outdoors), the 12 ft. or so reach of the spark discharges really make significant prevention of strike ring hits challenging, but the large 56" diameter vs. the 40" diameter of the strike ring does at least tend to keep the strike ring hits "within reason".
