If anyone in the UK is after an NST it may be worth looking into getting one shipped from the USA as we are limited to 10K in the UK whereas the Americans can get 15kV max. May (it will) be dear to ship, but depends how serious your UK coil is, and how much NST's are in the States. You would also need a 250 -> 110v to feed the NST though, but second hand builder's ones are two a penny on Ebay Regards Phil Tuck https://www.youtube.com/user/follytowers www.hvtesla.com -----Original Message----- From: Tesla [mailto:tesla-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Colin Tregenza Dancer via Tesla Sent: 10 September 2016 16:15 To: Tesla Coil Mailing List Subject: Re: [TCML] UK Supplies I've found that Ricci transformers are good for Tesla use, being very solidly built. The GFI is in the lid not the transformer itself, and they can either be trivially bypassed, or you can get a non-GFI lid "for use with external Earth Leakage" (or in our case none at all!). Sign-tec (to whom my only relation is as a frequent customer) are very helpful. http://www.sign-tec.co.uk/products_list.asp?catID=2&prodGroup=Ricci+Transfor mers&subCatID=9 . I can't see it on their current webpage, but in past years I've purchased a number of 10KV 100mA units without any problems. I've also ordered from SignBuyer with equally good results http://www.signbuyer.co.uk/ricci-neon-transformer-2363-p.asp , and their website lists the full range of voltages and currents. Hope that helps, Colin. -----Original Message----- From: Tesla [mailto:tesla-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Troy Sent: 10 September 2016 13:19 To: Tesla Coil Mailing List <tesla@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [TCML] UK Supplies Hah, thanks. I was going to ask if anyone knew if the GFI's on these were easily disable-able. Cheers, Troy.
