Has anyone used microwave caps as they are around 2100 volts each? If not, why?
They're designed to filter line frequency (50/60 Hz) and have high loss at 100kHz+ TC frequencies. Most also have a bleeder resistor built in that is parallel to the capacitor.
For a voltage doubler at line frequency, though, they work just fine. _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
