Re: [TCML] Richard Burnett´s resonant charging ideas confirmed

I am also still a spark gap coiler and like Steve White, I have little interest in going down the learning curve (and smoked silicon) of building a big solid state coil system. My big “Green Monster” Tesla coil is pole pig driven, rotary spark gapper and it is approaching 14 years old. I tried out a different capacitor arrangement from my original capacitor of choice for a while, but have recently gone back to my original 0.1 uFd, 75 kV rated Maxwell capacitor and think I will be staying with this rocking capacitor for the foreseeable future. ;-)

This is at my site www.sthlmteslacoil.se <http://www.sthlmteslacoil.se> now, as well as some recommendations on how to measure this. There are also some suggestions on how to measure cap voltage indirectly on the HV transformer primary side.
