Subject: 5021g10 transformer

Well I got my transformers today 2 of them from c and h.  1 of them was
damaged and I attempted repair and I thought I had it fixed until I wired
it up.  It just buzzed and only output 800v so I'm down to 1.  It puts
out 6.3kV @ 400mA tested with a variac fluke 179 and a fluke 80k40.  Is
this enough voltage for a tesla coil?  Is it too much current?  Any 
advice would help.  Thx in advance.
