Hi Marco

I have used the mineral refrigeration oil in the past for T.C. work. It is 
fine, as good as transformer oil as far as I can tell. I cannot speak as to 
the suitability of POE or synthetic alkylbenzene for such use, though it 
might make for an interesting experiment.

Another oil that would probably be suitable is the dielectric hydraulic oil 
that is used in bucket trucks and other equipment used by utilities to work 
on power lines. It is very expensive though.
