Re: [TCML] Re: Position of baffle inside secondary
I suppose silicone is a low volatile agent but I have no experience with PVC
adhesion. I was wondering about a PVC disc and the usual (volatile) PVC glue
but this would make a great bomb if you had 2 baffles sealed.
I have rarely used baffles before - just an end cap at the top - but I
recently lost a long lasting 4 inch secondary to internal arcing.
Still that sounds easy. Sold.
I am working on several projects at present and getting back to my more
usual flight of ideas. Completing an SISG bipolar at present.

I have always used two 1/4" acrylic baffles in all my coils. One usually
3-4 inches up from bottom and second approx 5 inches down from HV end.
Use generous amount of silicon to affix.

I need to position a single baffle inside a TC. My guess is that voltage

Any comments? Hey even a noob has a 50% chance of being right here.
I think when tuned that voltage is lowest and current highest near the
base, but in a racing arc situation things may break down more at the
base
