Nice coil!
That's very inline with what I want to do. How do you make the ground
connection to the secondary base? I should have about a foot of extra
coil-form.
I want a robust RF ground that connects easy. I am thinking of baffles in
the coil at the primary level as I write this. That would allow simple bolt
on flat cable at the coil base.
Other ideas? My 8" uses the Richard Quick method - a bit of a pain how I set
it up.

I raised and lowered my primary until I was happy, then replaced the 2x4s
with 3" PVC.
